Operation Reality

Operation Flashpoint has to be the most realistice and nerve biting game which I have ever played. With a large selection of scenarios and the added bonus of a scenario editor it is one game that will never lose it's appeal.

I would highly recommend this game to anyone who takes there first player shooters seriously.

I love this game!

I loved Operation Flashpoint. It has very open gameplay with a huge area to explore and very good AI.
Set during the cold war the story is realistic and all missions are plausible, theres a real sense of realism. Add to this the variety of weapons and vehicles your needed to control during the game make the game very enjoyable. Theres Tanks, planes, jeeps, and a variety of real world infantry weapons. The graphics are great also with all settings displayed well with a slight grayness one would see in the movies, giving the game a sense of dirtiness, like you'd expect being in a real war.
The expansions give you more vehicles and weapons, and more scenarios in which to play.

If the single player is not enough there's the excellent multiplayer mode where you can go online and frag player controlled enemies. Theres also a great internet fan base wth plenty of fan-made mods to enjoy as well.
All up is one of the best shooter/war games out right now.
