Product Description
The ultimate Nintendo hero is taking the ultimate step … out into space. Join Mario as he ushers in a new era of video games, defying gravity across all the planets in the galaxy.
Shake, tilt and point! Mario takes advantage of all the unique aspects of the Wii Remote and Nunchuk controller, unleashing new moves as players shake the controller and even point at and drag items with the pointer.
Mario essentially defined the 3-D platforming genre with Super Mario 64, and this game proves once again that he is king. Players perform mind-bending, low-gravity jumps across wild alien terrain as they experience platforming for a new generation.
When some creature escapes into space with Princess Peach, Mario gives chase, exploring bizarre planets all across the galaxy.
Become Mario as he traverses a galaxy of gravities, traveling in and out of gravitational fields by blasting from planet to planet. Players experience dizzying perspective shifts as they run upside down through wild alien worlds that need to be seen to be believed.
Controlling Mario is as simple as can be with the Wii Remote and Nunchuk. Players move Mario with the Control Stick and shake the Wii Remote to perform a spin move or cue stars that launch him to and from planetary objects. Players can even point at bits of stardust to collect them or latch onto stars to blaze a magnetic trail through the heavens.
Don't want to head into space alone? With a second Wii Remote, another player can play alongside by pointing at and collecting bits of stardust, then launching them at enemies. The second player can even sweep aside projectiles or stall enemies to help make Mario's adventure easier.
Players run, jump and battle enemies as they explore all the planets in the galaxy. Since this game makes full use of all the features of the Wii Remote, players have to do all kinds of things to succeed: pressing buttons, swinging the Wii Remote and the Nunchuk, and even pointing at and dragging things with the pointer.
Since he’s in space, Mario can perform mind-bending jumps unlike anything he’s done before. He’ll also have a wealth of new moves that are all based around tilting, pointing and shaking the Wii Remote.

The Must Have for Wii Owners
Nintendo have done a great job marketing the Wii to ‘everyone else’ while Sony and Xbox go after the traditional gaming market. To date, it has been accepted that the Wii was fantastic for casual gamers, but a debate has been raging about the relevance of the Wii to ‘hardcore’ gamers. I believe that Super Mario Galaxy goes along way to proving its relevance as a true gamer’s console.
Above all, the gameplay from Super Mario Galaxy shines through. From the first time I picked up the Wiimote with this game I’ve not been able to stop telling my wife about all the cool things that you can do. The level design is absolutely fantastic, they’ve designed puzzles that are just so amazingly fun to play, that you won’t really understand until your play it.
Many people bag out the graphics capabilities of the Wii, and while it doesn’t have the powerhouse graphics processors of the other next gen consoles, you’ll certainly find out how good looking a game on the Wii can be at this point. Super Mario Galaxy is the best looking game out for the Wii in my opinion and makes the gameplay all the more fun. Added to the superb gameplay and great eye-candy, is a delightful story and soundtrack.
Nintendo have worked very hard to turn the traditional platformer into a multiplayer experience. Super Mario Galaxy allows for ‘Co-Star’ mode, where a second player is able to play with another Wiimote. They, like the first player, can use their pointer on the screen to collect star bits, stun enemies and interact with Mario by making him jump and spin.
I’m not quite halfway through the game (at which point you can decide to fight the final boss and end it, or, continue completing all the galaxies and finding all the hidden stars) and it has become one of my favourites of all time. If you have a Wii, you need to get this game, you will not regret it.

Mario is back for his best adventure ever!
Super Mario Galaxy is the latest in the Super Mario franchise, the first of its kind for the Nintendo Wii. This game is a pure joy to play. Jumping and running as Mario throughout a multitude of galaxies, each one with something new and interesting challenge but all guaranteed fun. Whether you are flying as a bee or swimming under the ocean, you'll never know whats coming in the next galaxy.
This also works really well for 2 players where a more experienced player controls Mario and the second person has a second Wii Remote to collect Star Bits and help fend off the bad guys. Great for Dad to play with the kids!
If you're lucky enough to have a Nintendo Wii or are getting one this Xmas, Super Mario Galaxy is the best game to go with it.
