A watertight headphone socket means the earphones do not connect straight into your iPod®. Instead, there is a specially designed socket whereby the iPod® connects to the case internally and the headphones connect to the case externally keeping your iPod® safely out of the drink. Please see features below for compatibility. (iPod headphone jack must be located centrally at the top of the iPod.)
A few years back (1979 to be exact), Elvis Costello told us that "accidents will happen." While he was absolutely right, you just don't want accidents to happen to your iPod®. The Lilipod's shell is made of hard plastic which is 2mm thick and is lined with a thick foam insert that keeps your iPod® snugly in place and guards it from shock if you happen to drop it. How's that for security.
How can the folks at Lilipod make such a solid product, you ask? By not cutting corners and using cheap, shoddy parts. The 1/8" stereo connector is designed by ISC Engineering and provides crystal clear audio. The 42" lanyard is made by Sterling Rope, a giant in the climbing business. The dual action belt clip allows you to securely clip the Lilipod to a pocket or belt, or you can just feed an accessory belt right through it for an even more secure attachment.
The watertight future of iPod® protection has arrived. And it's arrived in style.
