Epic lovelorn metal from Finland is something of a rarity – good, epic, lovelorn metal even more so. HIM (His Infernal Majesty), thankfully, produce just that. Formed in 1995 by Ville Hermanni Valo (vocals), Mikko Lindstrom (guitarist), Mikko Paananen (bass) and Juhana Rantala (drums) they have steadily built up a fanbase of like minded souls culminating in massive chart success with their alternative Christmas anthem ‘The Funeral Of Hearts’ in early 2004.
‘And Love Said No’ covers the band’s entire recorded career from debut EP ‘666Ways To Love – Prologue’ through to 2003’s exquisite ‘Love Metal’. It incorporates line-up changes, grandiose gestures and some of the finest melodic metal ever released. The magnificent ‘Buried Alive By Love’ and ‘Right Here In My Arms’ set the tone for this package. If your only exposure to the band is their aforementioned alt-Xmas single then these serve as the perfect continued education to this phenomenal band. From there on in it’s a non-stop love trip ‘Your Sweet 666’ is a call to arms to the disenfranchised, ‘The Sacrament’ swirls in gorgeous melodies and pretty instrumentation and the cover of Chris Isaak’s ‘Wicked Game’ is pure genius.
If you’ve never had the pleasure of listening to this awesome band then ‘And Love Said No’ is your perfect introduction. You’re gonna be joined by a lot more people ‘cause this band are about to become huge.

Awsom CD!
This cd is very awsom! great to listen to, sweet as songs such as your sweet 666 and, and love said no... i recomend this album! a great choice!

Kill Me ... I Begged And Love Said No ...
Another brilliant album by the Finnish rock band H-I-M with 12 of their greatest hits, including Right Here In My Arms, Join Me In Death, Funeral Of Hearts and a cover of Solitary Man which is better than the original! This album is a MUST HAVE for all HIM, Bam and CKY fans.

This is an awesome collection of one of the greatest bands around. For fans of HIM and also of Bam margera this would be a very valuable product to add to your collection. As the title says Greatest hits, and they mean it.
